The Search Counsel has a team of seven people. Two people serve as senior associates who conduct research and initial telephone and in-person screenings. Four others have financial, accounting, database, and administrative responsibilities.
President Sam Joanna Ghiggeri graduated from the Organizational Development and Consultation Program of the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology. Her 25 years of domestic and international experience includes work in the search and executive coaching field. Prior to that, she designed and executed cross-cultural, strategic development, revenue-building, and fund-development programs for organizations in the United States, Latin America, South Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Philippines.
Joanna’s professional experience also includes managing sales for the first multicultural for-profit radio station in New York City, and she also owned and operated a commercial non-profit radio station.
Senior Team
Dr. Michael B. Greene, Senior Associate at The Search Counsel, has over 20 years experience as a research psychologist. His primary responsibility is to meet with potential candidates and conduct an initial assessment of their strengths and weaknesses. He formerly worked as the Director of Research and Evaluation for Hunter College; Senior Research Associate for the NYC Office of Criminal Justice for the City of New York; and as Director of Educational Research for The Door-A Center for Alternatives.
Kevin Jones, Senior Associate at The Search Counsel, has 10 years experience as a fundraiser with both the National AIDS Foundation and the Garden State Cancer Center Foundation. His primary responsibility is to identify and research prospective candidates for our database, and to secure additional profile information: an in-depth personality and presentation narrative.
Arto Dursunian, Chief Financial Officer for The Search Counsel has 20 years of professional experience as a certified public accountant and strategic business consultant to both domestic and international organizations. His primary responsibility is to insure that all financials are accurate and current, and to support our vision and future as a progressive search firm rooted in solid business principles.
